GIOSTAR signed MOU with Government of Chhattisgarh,India to develop the stem cell transplant program for the State of Chhattisgarh.
Global Institute of Stem Cell Therapy and Research (GIOSTAR), Sis located in San Diego, California, U.S.A. We are pleased to announce that the investor summit held in November 2012 at Raipur, MOU was entered between GIOSTAR and Government of Chhattisgarh. The MOU was signed to treat the large, poor population in the State of Chhattisgarh (India) suffering from the devastating disease of Sickle Cell Anemia for generations. It is believed that this disease spread via the travel routes of the Alexander the Great and his army.
As envisioned by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, India, Dr. Raman Singh and strongly supported by the Ministry of Health, the futuristic stem cell treatment provided by GIOSTAR will free the less fortunate populous suffering from Sickle Cell Anemia. The Government has identified medical college and hospital campus in Raipur to treat the populous suffering from this ailment. The Government has also indentified the newly build stem cell lab to given to GIOSTAR to start their initial work. Government of Chhattisgarh in collaboration GIOSTAR has plans to build an advanced 50 to 75 bed stem cell treatment hospital in Raipur. The hospital will provide treatment for several other ailments using GIOSTAR’s stem cell technology.
GIOSTAR aims to provide world-class medical expertise to develop the entire sickle cell stem cell transplant program for the state and also to train a local team of doctors to use advanced technology of stem cells to treat the sickle cell anemia many other diseases.
